Give G-d Joy!

My divine soul was once one with G-d.
My soul was sent on a long dark journey.
My soul has come to rest within me.

My divine soul is a part of G-d but it is trapped within me.
My divine soul is imprisoned within my body.
My body has physical wants and needs that obstruct the soul.
I have pushed my divine soul deeper and futher into the muck.
Deeper and futher into exile.
I have made the prison walls higher, deeper, and wider.
I have allowed my selfish desires to rule.

G-d yearns to be reunited with my soul,
let me satisfy G-d’s desire.

I can free my soul and reunite her with G-d just as she was before this long journey.
I will now study Torah.
I will now pray.
I cry out to you G‑d because of the pain of my soul's exile in my low body,
Release my soul from captivity and bind her to Yourself!
Take her home!

I allow my soul to express herself.
The body is no longer an obstacle to reunification.
It has become a conduit that allows my soul to be reunited with it’s source.

This is the ultimate pleasure for G-d.

Awe Inspiring Meditation #2

The whole world is filled with His Glory,
His light and energy sustains all.
He knows all.

I AM STANDING IN THE KING’S PRESENCE.
G‑D HIMSELF STANDS OVER ME
AND LOOKS INTO MY HEART
AND SEARCHES MY INNERMOST THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS
TO SEE IF I AM SERVING HIM AS IS FITTING.

Based on Chapter 41 in Tanya

Awe Inspiring Meditation #1

G-d controls all and his energy gives life to all,
flowing, downward into spiritual worlds without end,
into the physical universe, our galaxy, solar system, and planet.

The life energy flows through all things
from Archangel to the floor beneath my feet.
We all sense and feel the flow of life.

But there is more.
There is energy sustaining all creations
that we cannot feel nor understand.
This infinite light is not limited to the worlds.
The World is within it.

All this is created and sustained for my sake.
For ME to accept G-d as ruler!
I am ADAM. I am man. I am the Jewish people.
I submit and serve G-d totally and give meaning to Creation.

Modeh Ani #5

"B'chemlah-for compassionately returning my soul to me" everything you do Master of the universe you do with compassion. As I leave the warmth and comfort of my bed and face the cold world and it's challenges I know that everything you want me to face comes from your mercy. I know you will only give me today what I can handle.

Based on letters of the Rebbe Vol. 5 pg 195

Modeh Ani #4

Modeh Ani. Before I think I acknowledge. Before I feel I praise. This faith that you G-d are the source of all is encoded in my soul. This faith is the foundation of the day but I will not suffice with this faith alone. I will build on this faith to feel and to understand to keep and to learn. I will then reach for the faith that comes after understanding and feeling. The more I learn, the more I feel, the higher my faith will reach.

Modeh Ani #3

I acknowledge, I thank you, for LIFE, more than life I thank you for a life of purpose, and above all I thank You for a Jewish Life, Thank you for returning my Jewish Soul. Thank you that you created me a Jew, that you sustain me as a Jew, and that my purpose in life and life itself is expressed in my Jewishness. Great is Your faith in me. I will live up to it!

Based on "The Essence of Chasidus"

Modeh Ani #2

I awake now and I see the new day. I recognise how You Living Eternal Ruler of all is recreating me and the entire world every moment. If you would stop flowing life we would cease to exist. Every moment is a new beginning and for that I thank you. Great is your faithfulness to do the same at the end of time to recreate us all, to rebuild our bodies and souls, to resurrect the dead.

Based on "The Essence of Chasidus"

Modeh Ani #1

Modeh Ani
Every night before sleep, we give our tired and worn-out souls back to God. Every morning, we receive our souls anew, refreshed and full of energy. Therefore, the first words that we say upon waking are:
"I thank You ever living King, for compassionately returning my soul to me,how great is Your faithfulness"
In Hebrew:Modeh ani l'fanecha melech chai v'kayam,she-hech-ezarta be nishmati b'chemla,rabah emuna-techa
With this thought and intention of "I thank You," we begin our day. This thought accompanies us, always engraved in our consciousness, the whole day long.
